Ganpatipule Trip:Beaches Culture and Serenity
Ganpatipule is a hidden gem on the western coast of India, nestled in the Ratnagiri district, 25kms north of the city of Ratnagiri of Maharashtra. It is famous for the Ganpatipule Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, which draws devotees from across the country.
With its golden sands and lush green hills, Ganpatipule is an ideal destination for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls along the shore or explore nearby attractions like the stunning Ratnagiri Fort.
The local cuisine, rich in fresh seafood and traditional Maharashtrian flavors, adds to the charm of this serene coastal retreat. Whether looking for relaxation or adventure, Ganpatipule promises an unforgettable experience.
Best time to Visit
The best time for enjoying the Ganpatipule Trip:Beaches Culture and Serenity is from October to March. Winter season and the onset of summers is the most favorable time to travel. Though we went in August (on Ganesh Chathurthi) and it was raining at that time, but still we enjoyed a lot and there was greenery all around.
Altitude
Ganpatipule is situated at an altitude of approximately 33 feet (about 10 metres) above sea level.

Accommodation and Tariffs
We stayed there at Abhishek Beach resort and Spa for 1 night. It is a very nice resort. The rooms are good and you can have a sea view from the room itself. I would suggest you to stay here as the ambience of the resort is very good.
The Ganpatipule Beach is a 3 minute walk and a 2-minute drive from Ganapati Temple. You can either book online from their website or call them on 7620044777 / 7710002628 or book online through apps like Agoda, Booking.com, etc.
It costed us around 13K for 2 persons including everything mentioned in the below itinerary along with the to and fro bus tickets from Pune (Wakad) to Ganpatipule, the food and the sightseeing travel (we booked the same auto for the sightseeing which dropped us to the resort from the Ganpatipule bus stand). The distance from the bus stand to the resort is 2Kms which will take 3-5mins in autorickshaw.
Detailed Itinerary For The Whole Trip (2 days 1 night)
Day1:
We started our Ganpatipule trip from Pune, the previous night at 10PM in a luxury sleeper bus. We reached Ganpatipule at around 8AM and from the bus stand we took an autorickshaw and reached the resort.
After having our breakfast, we booked a cab arranged by the hotel (you can also hire a auto for the sightseeing that would cost you a bit less than the cab) and we went to see the Jaigad fort, lighthouse and Jai Vinayak temple. After returning back we had our lunch and went to see the Ganpatipule Temple and the Ganpatiplue beach which is located at 2kms from the resort. We also had a camel ride in the beach.

Day2:
Next day after having our breakfast in the resort, we hired the same autorickshaw in which we had come to the resort from the bus stand to visit the local sightseeing places like Prachin Konkan Museum, Magic Garden, Are Warey Beach and Bhandarpule Beach.
After visiting these places we returned to our hotel and had our lunch. Our bus from Ganpatipule to Pune was at 5-5:30PM in the evening.
