5. Where are downloaded videos saved?
By default, downloads are saved in the Downloads/YTDownloads folder in your user directory. You can use the application’s folder selection option to choose another location.
6. Do I need to sign in to YouTube or install a Chrome extension?
Normal downloads of accessible public videos do not require Chrome authentication setup. On Windows, optional Chrome authentication may be needed if YouTube triggers a bot-verification or sign-in challenge. The macOS application avoids browser-cookie and Keychain access.
7. Is my local video content uploaded to your website?
YT Downloader retrieves video content from YouTube and saves the downloads to your computer. It does not require you to upload your own local video files to TourTravelDiaries to use the desktop application.
